Annie Valtierra-Sanchez
COMMUNITY LEADER
After the Almeda Fire, Tonia gave her time and expertise, as we worked on fundraising and distributing resources to fire survivors. Before and after these wildfires, our region continues to worry about forest fires, but that year specifically proved how much is at stake and the importance of climate change and the health of our communities. Tonia is understands how one issue impacts many aspects of our community's livelihood - healthcare, housing, mental health, food security, livable wages, affordability, education, accessibility and above all community.

Sen. Khanh Pham
OREGON STATE SENATOR
Tonia has been tenacious in standing up for Southern Oregon interests at the state level. Tonia's track record working to defend our land, our waters, and our communities against corporate interests makes her ready, on day one, to be the climate and just transition champion we need to take Senator Golden's place. Senate District 3 needs a champion who works with people and for people. Tonia is that champion.

Dick Theirolf
MEDFORD ATTORNEY
Tonia is genuinely interested in people from all walks of life. Equally important is that she is both willing and able to help people; her career demonstrates this. I have known Tonia Moro since the early 1990’s. Beginning in 1998, Tonia and I practiced law in the same office building for several years. Then Tonia became a federal public defender, helping people who could not afford a lawyer in the most serious criminal prosecutions. Tonia’s service as a federal public defender makes her especially qualified to address Oregon’s lack of public defenders. Often, when a public defender is not available to take a criminal case, the court will throw out the case; and when criminal defendants do not have a public defender, sherrifs release them from jail.
Tonia fills leadership roles in challenging matters. Her leadership among the directors of the Rogue Valley Transportation District is an example of Tonia’s ability to handle challenges. She will be a terrific state senator.

Dave Willis
CONSERVATION COMMUNITY ORGANIZER
In my decades of advocating for Cascade/Klamath/Siskiyou lands and waters, Tonia Moro and Jeff Golden have always been on board with strong needed support. It’s obvious why Jeff endorses Tonia. Tonia is uniquely qualified and motivated to push back against the current administration’s unprecedented and devastating give-away of our natural heritage and federal land management agencies to heedless corporate interests. Future generations of all species – including your children’s children – will benefit from Tonia Moro’s next public service as a State Senator in Salem. I believe Tonia to be the best candidate. Please vote for Tonia Moro on May 19.

Heather Ayers-Flood
RETIRED SCHOOL TEACHER
Tonia cares deeply about the issues facing our kids – an underfunded K-12 school system, crippling student debt, and the impacts of climate chaos. Tonia wants mega-corporations and billionaires to pay their fair share so that our kids have a fighting chance for a good job, a home, and a livable planet. I know Tonia will stand up to the corporations and big-money lobbyists in Salem. She has my vote.

Matt Witt
AUTHOR & PHOTOGRAPHER
For 20 years I’ve worked alongside Tonia Moro in successful local organizing on climate change, protection of our immigrant neighbors, housing and energy that working people and seniors can afford, public transportation, and many other issues. Tonia was a key leader in the largest and most successful campaign across partisan lines in our region’s history that stopped the Jordan Cove fracked gas pipeline and export terminal that would have raised energy prices and created the largest source of climate pollution in our state. We need more community leaders like her in Salem.
-
