Why I’m Running
Oregon is under attack from increasingly lawless and violent federal overreach. Southern Oregon needs a senator who is ready on day one to protect our constitutional rights and defend our community.
With more than three decades as a practicing public interest attorney and over ten years of government service, I have successfully put my skills and energy toward protecting our environment, defending the freedoms that our constitution guarantees us, and helping to build a society that works for all of us.
During this historic time of our federal government's disdain for individuals' freedoms and states' rights, I am ready to use my legal and organizing experience to keep our community a safe and thriving place for everyone.
Southern Oregon is a place of connected community. We saw it in the outpouring of mutual aid after the 2020 Almeda fire. We see it at the No Kings protests. We see it in the way we help one another every day, as we strive to make our communities better for everyone. This is where our resilience comes from.

My Priorities
Defending Our Freedoms
Federal agents are violating our constitutional right to peacefully protest with fatal consequences. Immigrants and people of color are especially at risk and are living in fear. Oregon must continue to use every means at our disposal to resist the Trump administration's unprecedented attacks on our values, our democratic processes, and the rule of law.
Protecting Our Livelihoods
Our government is failing working people. From Trump's tariffs to indiscriminate cuts to programs like SNAP and Medicaid, it is harder for families to make ends meet. We need to stand up for working families by strengthening our unions, supporting small business, and investing in our communities to ensure that everyone has a place to live, as well as the child care, nutrition, education, and health care they need.
Safeguarding Our Environment
The Trump administration is slashing long-held environmental protections and undercutting cheaper, cleaner energy resources. I will continue to defend and protect the planet our grandchildren will inherit.
